Lucky Mug was founded by a team of Lehigh University students who are passionate about discovering new ways that digital data and their physical counterparts can interact with each other. They aspire to bring order to complex, messy data through better visual design.

About

Lucky Mug's research has a singular goal: to augment a user's experience of their surroundings with relevant digital information. We try to make the experience as seamless as possible, utilizing off-the-shelf technology in new and creative ways. Our approach is multidisciplinary in nature, utilizing concepts in architecture, cognitive science and artificial intelligence to drive our investigations.

Current Projects

Wandr

Wandr is an location-based API that leverages concepts in artificial intelligence to help smartphone apps locate buildings. Wandr allows a smartphone to send basic GPS and heading data and recieve the name of the building that the phone is pointing at. This API opens up a world of 'gesture-based' location apps that are not only specific to the locations that the users are in, but the direction that they are holding their phones.
